Ultraviolet Dragons are a heat-loving breed that are most commonly found in hot, arid environments. These hardy dragons are omnivorous and will eat both plant and animal matter, even species with thorny physical defenses such as cacti. They are generally peaceful and often quite friendly, but males will become aggressive and cantankerous during the breeding season. Intense fights take place over females, sometimes resulting in injury for both combatants.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Kapalimako hatched near a cliff that overlooked the beautiful blue ocean. A human girl had found her upon hatching whom she forever saw as her mother. The young girl was speaking a Hawaiian chant as she was hiking to the cliff. Part of the chant was saying, "manoanoa mehe pali mako..." which means 'thick as the rocky cliffs'. Kapalimako trilled with happiness when she saw her mother, so the girl smiled and picked her up. Her scales felt so warm and hard like the rocks of which she hatched upon, it was befitting to name her Kapalimako—the rocky cliff.

Pali quickly grew large and spent most of her time visiting her birthplace to bask in the sun and enjoy the salty sea spray and magnificent view. Pali realized how small and weak her mother was compared to other dragons so she's often overprotective of her and the other dragons of her ever-growing family back at the cave. Pali idolizes her mother's kind heart and bravery as she ventures out seeking new dragons to add to the family.
