Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lylli may be a Holly dragon, one of the rarest and most venerated breeds around, but she's a bit...confused. She was born to a herd of Horse dragons, her egg the rare result of a tryst with an even rarer wandering dragon. While she may have looked different, and her presence alone seemed to put every dragon around her in high spirits, she was raised as any other hatchling in her group would have been—which is why now, so many years later, her habits are hard to break. Joining the clan and meeting others of her real breed have shed a few rays of light upon her long-burgeoning identity crisis, but she still has a tendency to rear up when surprised, and snort and scuff when angry.
