Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

CitrineYouth is a very sweet Magi Dragon hatchling. He is very shy, and almost never plays with the other hatchlings in his cave. He is always around either his beautiful mother, CitrineQuartz, or his generous father, GallantCitrine. He is very kind to the adult friends of his parents, and most adult dragons consider him to be a "lovely young lad".
