Two-Finned Blunas are a very social breed of dragon, living in packs of dragons called “pods.” Blunas are very curious and playful creatures and several dragons in a pod will often “play” with one other, chasing each other around, tossing seaweed back and forth, and riding ocean swells. They are occasionally seen swimming alongside whales and dolphins.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Jostar was part of a huge pod of Two-Finned Blunas as a hatchling, but a raging hurricane tore him away from his parents and beat him into submission, ripping his long, beautiful fins to shreds before finally dropping him, bleeding and unconscious, on the beach near the cave of Aquiocos's flock. Though Karamitali took him in and nursed him back to health, Jostar will never be able to fly and has been left with a crippling fear of even the smallest of storms.
