Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Fostrel was raised in the Mountains of Elgar. As a hatchling he often rode on the back of his older "brother" and littermate, the Yulebuck dragon named Tohru. The two would explore the forest of Tohrutyr while their guardian, a human girl named Flight, watched over them while keeping an eye on their other "siblings" (composed of the Ribbon hatchling named Caprio and the Snow Angel named Evemre). It was often said by the other dragons Flight had raised that if Fostrel wasn't to be found with Tohru, he was hanging out with mischief. Never one for unkindness, Fostrel's pranks were always funny and no more hurtful than an embarrassing memory that is easily laughed away. To this day he enjoys pulling small practical jokes on the humans he and his brother Tohru pass by while journeying around the world. Since the finding of the High Family and the Nasuka in Elgar, Fostrel takes it as his role to spread as much joy in the mountains as he can when he and Tohru visit for Christmas.
