Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

She is the first-born child of both The Illusionist and The Compass. The high ranking of her father and her birth as a female have placed her importantly in The Kingdom's eye. The high magical potency of both her parents combined within her caused her blindness since birth, but gifted her and unique power. The power of her True Vision enable her to 'see' into heart of anyone she lays hand upon. Once this ability was discovered in her, The Queen took interest in using it to know the hearts of supposedly repentant traitors, criminals, and those she deemed uneasy presence and most distrustful within her kingdom. Though in truth, The Queen does not so often put such power into use, due to her steady confidence in judging character, it has still become infamous throughout The Kingdom. Many tend to avoid or shy away from her in the knowledge that paired with The Queen's authority and disapproval, she truly could hold the fate of many in her hands.
