Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Theodora spends the day sleeping in the rear of Damian's cave in an effort to retain her strength. She is a sickly, pale dragon, though whether this is a result of poor health as a hatchling is unknown. At night, she retires to the same meadow in the forest, greedily absorbing any moonlight she can using the orb on her tail. Sometimes she brings Damian with her for comfort, especially on nights when both Cirion and Aurax are in the new moon phase and do not give off much energy. She seems especially interested in Golden Wyverns, but her best reason for why is "it runs in the family."
