Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Electric yellow scales shimmer brightly across its belly, and an even brighter spark adorns its tail.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

LighteningLiddy is a smart Electric Dragon hatchling. He has two best friends: the Seawyrm hatchling BrightSeawyrmGlow and the Crimson Flare hatchling CrimsonFlareFlame. LighteningLiddy is very interested in animals. He likes to track them back to their burrows, and sometimes follows them in. He has figured out a way to completely hold in his electric sparks for brief periods of time. LighteningLiddy doesn't eat animals as he's a strict vegetarian. Instead, he helps to protect certain animals from other dragons hunting. He has fortified burrows, helped hide caves from above, and even claimed a section of forest where no hunting is allowed. This is guarded by brave Rocs, giant birds with sharp talons and a wicked looking beak that even the Black Dragons are wary of.
