Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Flamingo Wyverns are striking. Rich pink hues turn to darkest black, fine crests of bone shine in the light, and powerful wings and claws stir the stagnant waters. And yet for all their finery, some have dared suggest they are "common!" "Worthless!" "Not half as pleasant as real flamingos!" While most wyverns shrug off these complaints, stalwart in their knowledge of their own supremacy, this hotblooded young male couldn't handle it. Flying off the handle in a fit of rage over yet another slew of insults, he promptly proceeded to raze the local human village to the ground, smashing all their thatched-roof cottages and eating all their fish while he was at it. Needless to say, the locals have since stopped insulting the wyverns (although their opinion that real flamingos are much more pleasant still stands).
