Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. This hatchling seems to be filled with a fell, inner flame.

And look! Its wings have grown, and it’s become rather vicious and wary of others of its kind.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The only youngster allowed to wander from the lava-fields, Little Fel Brim often sneaks to the main cave despite it being the only area his mother, the Beta Fel Shrieker, has forbidden him permission to travel to, simply for the purpose of playing with the multitude of hatchlings always about. Although he is vicious against his own siblings, his aggression all but vanishes while tumbling about under the watchful eyes of Vulcanica and Yule Song.

Although severely punished if caught, Brim loves nothing more than interacting with all the dragons he can at the cave, learning stories and different ways of life as he does so. He possesses a particularly strong fondness for the frozen Daydream, Quietness, and can usually be found fluttering after him, batting gently at his tail as he drifts along atop his little cloud.
