Mistlet Pygmies thrive in humid environments and are most content when frolicking in the rain or fog. The cheerful demeanor they exhibit provides a remarkable contrast to their shadowy appearance, bringing joy in otherwise gloomy environments. Mistlets are an especially beautiful sight in long summer evenings, as their streak of vibrant scales catch the fading sunlight. They spend a great deal of their time foraging for edible roots and insects, and sometimes enjoy treats in the form of small fish or frogs.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

User Description

DarkMystFreedom is a Dark Myst Pygmy Dragon with a dark past. As an egg, he was stolen from his mother's nest by a human child. This child carefully incubated his egg, but before he hatched he was sold by the child's father to a sly man. This slick fellow put the egg in a bag and left it there for days. But DarkMystFreedom hatched anyway. The man who owned him put DarkMystFreedom into a small cage. Then he put the hatchling up for sale, at his market stall. No one wanted to buy the little Dark Myst Pygmy Dragon, and he stayed in that cage for years, even as he grew bigger. One day, DarkMystFreedom had no more room to grow. He was bursting out of his cage, but the cage broke first. Terrified, the hatchling ran away as fast as he could for as long as he could. The scared hatchling was found panting on the ground by another Dark Myst hatchling, DarkMystHope, and was quickly adopted by her cave. Now DarkMystFreedom lives a happy life, with only his scars left to tell his story.
