Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very festively colored.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Yuletide Yulebuck is the second frozen hatchling in the cave. Unlike the first, Immortal Foundling, he is completely at home in his eternally youthful body. As a young Yulebuck dragon, his young body fits his personality. Using his boundless, childish energy, he bounds around the cave spreading cheer and happiness to all who wish to hear and enjoy. His perpetual cheer can annoy some of the less cheerfully-inclined dragons. Occasionally, they attempt to step on him to end his spread of cheer forever, but thankfully the dragons that like him keep a close enough eye on him to prevent him from being squashed like a bug. One of his favorite dragons to be around is the other Yulebuck in the cave, who happens to be an adult. The adult Yulebuck is more then open to accepting Yuletide Yulebuck's attempts to spread cheer.
