Setsong Dragons wake with the setting of the sun. They can be found hunting during the night, only to vanish into their lairs once the sun begins to rise. Their glossy feathers and scales are a deep purple, but the evening sunlight reflects off of their bodies in a beautiful red-gold shimmer. Setsongs are reclusive dragons, found alone or in small groups, and are fiercely territorial--and loyal, protecting their hatchlings and group just as stubbornly as their hunting grounds. These dragons have a respectable ability to weave magic, but only once the sun has started to set: the daylight weakens their magical powers, and their spells are most potent at night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Magenta grew up as a very sick hatchling. He was terrorized with constant nightmares and occasional vomiting. His best friend, Seaglass, was always promising to find a cure for him. She would even sing him to sleep sometimes.

One day when they were older, she flew far away from him. He called for her to come back, but she ignored him. He waited for her, but without her, the sickness only got worse. He vomited more. He refused to sleep from fear of nightmares. There was nobody to soothe him from the pain and sing lullabies to him anymore.

Eventually, he overcame his sickness, and Seaglass came back. She looked at him with those disgusting loving eyes. She had left him when he needed her. He hated her. He hissed at her to leave him alone forever, and away she went, far away, and he would never see her again. That was a good thing. There's no point in having friends who leave you when things get rough.
