Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This energetic flyer loves to challenge his ability to perform intricate aerial maneuvers. He spends as much or more of his time flying backwards or upside down as he does flying forward.

In one of his less graceful moments, Xaxx flew too close to the ground and inadvertently put a huge furrow into it. As he recovered and flew up into the air above it, he was struck by the thought that he could make an interesting picture out of it. He began flying down and using the end of his tail to make additional furrows in the earth, one with each pass.

Xaxx's territory is now covered with furrow pictures visible only from above. Travelers on foot commonly use the furrows as roads, unaware they are tracing artwork.
