Waterhorse Dragons received their name due to their horse-like physique and endearing behavior. They are capable of surviving out of water, and when on land their skin secretes a gelatinous goo to retain moisture. However, their large paddle feet are better suited for swimming, and waterhorse dragons tend to move very awkwardly when on land. Waterhorses are very friendly dragons and enjoy playing with humans.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gelatinous Goop was born into an overcrowded pond with a large amount of bickering miserable water dragons. Luckily for him, he was able to escape the stifling atmosphere to search for another pond for the cave. He found one several miles away but it was in enemy territory. A huge battle ensued, but his cave conquered because of its overpowering numbers. He settled into the pond and soon took a mate named Webbed Wings, who was born shortly after his discovery of the pond. They share a strong bond and are almost always seen be each others side. Webbed Wings enjoys giving him graceful entertaining shows where she glides over the water. Goop is enterprising and a natural born leader. Everyone else in the pond where he lives answer to him and he makes sure the pond does not become to overcrowded or stifling, like the one he was born in.
