Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Electric yellow scales shimmer brightly across its belly, and an even brighter spark adorns its tail.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Zapping Power and her best friend Dripping Energy love shocking other frozen and unfrozen hatchlings for fun. The hatchlings they shock are not hurt nor do they get broken scales or red burns. They are usually annoyed to death and also very surprised because the shocking is sudden. They are also good friends with two Black dragon hatchlings, one called Dark Starless Knight and the other Dark Starless Night. Like them, this shocking pair can also get close enough to a dragon called Darkened Runes without running off in fear of any sudden outbursts.
