Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It appears to be made of cheese, and yet it seems alive. You wonder for a moment if it is edible.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Kitchendrake is one of Phoenix's dragons. He is a friendly, although jumpy, hatchling that is very fond of his keeper. He lives in the kitchen, hence the name, to avoid being tackled and eaten by the other, less sympathetic hatchlings, and he loves to help Phoenix when she does her cooking in there. At nights, he willingly lets Phoenix lock him in a cookie jar to keep him safe—there have been times in the past when a band of the other hatchlings (usually led by Hauntbeast) will make a nighttime expedition to the kitchen in hopes of taking Kitchendrake captive. But none of them have thus far managed to get into a cookie jar on the very top shelf.
