Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Cosmic Thunders deputy, Glorious Daybreak was named for his glowing golden scales. He is the largest dragon of the clan, even though he is actually small for his breed. He leads the hunting parties and is responsible for keeping the prey pile well stocked. Glory, as he is called by family and friends, is something of a Casanova. He has one adult son who lives in another clan. He has mated with Darkspring, and Solarena, but has felt nothing for them. He did chase after Delicately Pink for a while until he found out that she was a he. His best friend is Silverscale, and they are often found out hunting together.
