Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. The plague had taken them all by surprise and decimated the entire clan, leaving only a few rotting husks still stalking the land, not dead, not alive, just there. Weeping One could remember a vague time before, when life had been good, but the plague had ended all of that, leaving this one filled with inner rage and hate, seeking something that would be forever deigned, longing for better days, exiled from all clans.
