Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Over the centuries, the storms that sweep her world are becoming more and more violent. Many are beginning to fear that the end of their world is coming due to the fierce nature of these massive tempests. To stabilize the weather and prevent disaster, several Storm Dragons formed what is known as the Great Weather Manipulation Project (GWMP). For a Storm Dragon, Jailu is rather under powered. She has never exhibited any great strength at controlling the weather and, when she is being honest, Jailu is terrified of thunderstorms. Jailu joined GWMP in part to overcome her own fear of storms. Jailu's theory is that if she works to control the weather with other, much more capable dragons, perhaps she will cease being afraid of something she should love. At the very least, Jailu knows that she is helping to make the world a better place, even if her contribution is rather insignificant.
