Blacktip Dragons are a small, shore-dwelling breed that tend to nest on sheer ocean side cliffs. They live in groups under a dominant female, who prevents her subordinates from breeding. During the mating season, a group of Blacktips can be very noisy and smelly indeed; males produce a distinctive musky odor and loud, low-pitched honking noises in an attempt to woo the alpha female.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Dragon Dove, though many just call him Dove, is a Black Tipped Dragon of the Coastal Island "Mary's Cove". Mary was the first dragon to live on this Island, and all of her sons and daughters have lived here for generations. What is odd about Dove is that Mary found him buried in the sand as an egg, with his parents no where to be found. She took him in, and he thrived. The Island has been set aside for Mary and her descendants for many centuries, but kings and queens from nearby kingdoms have been envying the species and the treasures of their home. Dove has seen armies trying to break through the barriers, but none have succeeded yet. Soon it may be his job to defend his home for his family, the inhabitants of Mary's Island. When it comes time, he will fight. For Mary, for her sons and daughters, and for the Island.
