Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Unlike the other hatchlings, this one hatched with wings.

And look! Its back legs have become a second set of wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

CercdipeMoon is a sad Skywing Dragon hatchling. He just can't live up to his own expectations. He thinks that he should be perfect, and whenever he does anything wrong he gets up. CercdipeMoon beats himself up in his own head, and doesn't think anyone else would ever want to be around him. So he shuts himself off, and sits far away in the shadows. Other dragons, especially the adults, want to do something to cheer up this little hatchling. CercdipeMoon can't see how much other dragons want him around. Everyone likes him but himself.
