Script Dragons are named for the markings along their wings and sides that look almost like calligraphy. The patterns correspond to no known language, and are slightly different on every dragon. These dragons only develop the characteristic markings when they reach maturity, and they are fairly capable with magic once the patterns appear.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sairif is a historian and adventurer from the south that uses the above average magical capabilities of her kind to find ruins and sell their artifacts to others. In her free time she reads scrolls and attempts to conjure spells that will tell her the location of rarer artifacts, all in the hopes of using the knowledge of lost civilizations to create an empire that does not repeat their mistakes.
