Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Paper, (or her Akerminian name, Taa'kir,) is Enzibaka's first surviving egg. Learning both common and Akerminian, Taa'kir soon rose in the ranked to ultimately take over Akermind, previously known for its rolling hills and pretty sunrises, but now for being a powerful city state.

She became a ruler and the most powerful mistress for at least 500 miles, and exerted her power across the land- even as far out as the so-called farlands. By Ara'ra, a tinsel, she was known as the sole cause of starting the Great Akermind War.

However, due to a mysterious change of the past and fate, no other dragons have ever heard of such a thing.

Now, kicked from her throne after serving for many great years, she lives alone with Enzibaka, the one who made the decision that changed her life before it ever started.
