White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Francis Pureheart was one of Caretaker's rescues, and was so inspired by the mint's selflessness and caring that he set up his own cave for rescuing and raising abandoned eggs and hatchlings.  He'll take care of just about anything, even strictly carnivorous dragons, though he draws the line at vampires or zombies.  While saddened whenever one of his charges grows old enough to leave, Francis is happy to have given them the chance to grow up, and hopes some day to inspire a dragon the way Caretaker did him.  His rescues have already produced a guardian in the stone dragon Valgrave and a hunter in the black marrow Vicijen, and with luck one of the next batches will produce someone else to help care for the eggs and hatchlings.
