Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Moonmint Skyshower used to be a witless dragon, diving into hot springs and eating rotten meat with her daring partner in these acts: Purple Nebbie. The duo would race along, jumping over angry pygmies and a few small Olive dragons, and loved to tease the Black Marrows that stalked in the nearby mountains. But one day, she accidentally knocked an unfortunate Dorsal egg into a pool of bubbly magma. The egg burnt away swiftly, and Moonmint realized the consequences of her unintelligence. The two quit their foolish acts and found themselves soon in a deep, rather demanding love. They had a child, a young nebula, and are now life mates. Moonmint even rejected the opportunity to be Crula Skystorm's life mate for Purple Nebbie.
