Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Born into a Dragon Clan and brought up by the highest ranks, AlbinoGami has been named for his translucent skin and strange behavior. His descendants are rare and legendary to the clan, but Gami, when he was born, he wasn't wanted. He was a sick and sad disappointment. Because of the lack of attention he received from anyone, anyone at all, AlbinoGami had become awkward and had forgotten how to roar like the rest of the dragons, and instead producing an ear-splitting screech. Perhaps this could also be blamed on the miserable neglect AlbinoGami had to put up with.

He was never taught to hunt, how to breed, how to fight, how to lead, how to walk, how to talk... He was caged away in the abandonment cave because no other dragon could bear the site of his ugliness. Although AlbinoGami's mother was albino as well, she moved with grace and was much less repulsive than he.
