Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It likes to play in small piles of sand.

And look! Its wings have grown larger! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Garion is a young Coastal Waverunner; he was brought into this time period with magic soon after hatching. He was supposed to grow up and become Marion the Former Pteranodon, but was brought here through time by some odd magi dragon for an unknown purpose. He lives his days training for whatever it is he's supposed to do. He is average for his race, but what sets him apart is that he was raised rather like a Dwarf and has a Dwarvish attitude. He enjoys mining, is easy to set off, and is stout for a Waverunner. He also has sort of a problem, he thinks he can sing better than all the other Waverunners but he can't at all he is a terrible singer. But he still tries hard!
