When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

His name means "Lotus" in Japanese. He is the second and last son born to Mizuru and Eri while they were dating, his egg arrived just as Eri met Norio and became his mate. Unlike his older brother Toshi, Hasu was raised by not only his dad, but also his mom and step-dad. All three worked together to raise Hasu, and make him into the dragon he is now. He is very bright and intelligent, and has a great love of adventuring. He often goes off for most of the day, and returns with all kinds of wondrous tales and objects. He met his mate, Mizuchi when he was hanging out with the Blunas. He'd always thought that the Bluna girls were beautiful, but this one, she was absolutely stunning. She was so delicate, and feminine, and the way her eyes sparkled when she smiled, and how her laugh sounded like tinkling bells. He was in love. Soon they were courting, and now Hasu brings her beautiful and exotic shells all the time (her favorite). They love each other so much, and they always will.
