Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has bright blue eyes, and is as clumsy as any other hatchling, but it never seems to get injured.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Eliodor grew up as an orphan, and as far back as he can recall, he has lived on the streets stealing for sustenance. One day, he picked Reinhilde's pocket, and that was a big mistake. She chased him down the streets and pounced him with help from her dog. Rather than punish him for his crime, the adults brought him to the orphanage so that he can clean up and maybe pick up a more favorable trade. He realizes he's in a great situation and loves it, but he's a bit reluctant to be honest with the others about his opinion. He's most sociable with the other orphans and has even picked up a little knowledge about accounting from Reinhilde. He also likes honing his skills with Pablo, but the adults aren't too keen on that.
