Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very festively colored.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Diomdar FrozenSnow (after the gemstone: Diamond) is Clan Mystal member number 3,334. Despite his noble and sturdy Dorkface, Thuwed, and Dusk lineage, this sweet little Holly hatchling suffered a similar fate as poor Dimdii and succumbed to the freezing magical power expended during the terrible Holiday winter storm! Frozen in time for all eternity, Diomdar spends much of his time chasing his wee companion and bringing joy and happiness to all the dragons of the clan. The Clan Mother is exceptionally fond of him and often keeps him at her side, whenever possible. It is said that she hopes to one day introduce the hatchling to his ancient relatives, although the trip would surely be a challenging one!
