Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

It could easily have gone to his head. Being a grandchild of two of the most famous dragons ever known--the dazzling pink tinsel known as Penk and the resplendent azure shimmerscale known as Jewel--meant many souls came squabbling for his favor, hoping friendship with him would earn them prestige via the renown of his ancestors. Yet the moonstone never saw any use in all the fuss, choosing his comrades based on merit rather than bribes and shying away, quite baffled, from undue attention. After all, there's not really any profound meaning in being a different color from your kin--and even less so in simply being related to someone like that!
