As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

A small lake bubbles up and out explodes a dragon with a fish in her mouth. Meralis bounds further into the inky night, above the clouds, and is greeted by the soft glow of the stars. She whips around, returning back to her lair. Meralis is a carefree Night Glory that does things her own way. For a little bit she had her eyes on another Night Glory called Nightdew. Her feelings for him waned sharply as Nightdew stuck his nose up at her, all of her grandparents were Day Glories. So, Meralis gave up on him, believing that ones mate shouldn't be determined by who your relatives are. She waits one day, for the dragon that will want her for her. She spots her cave and lands. The scent of lavander greets her as she chomps greedily on her prize.
