Aww... It’s a cute baby drake. It seems to like you, although it is very hyperactive and difficult to train.

Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

When this little creature first came to the clan the human caretaker had one of her few brain-dead moments. She squealed, "Oh my Guardian of Nature—It's a Mini-Tyrannosasurus-Rex" and immediately took the small drake to keep herself, Schnippsel, and Petit Quercy company. Usually a composed individual, Herk isn't ashamed in the slightest to have named a pet such a silly name and the small one has fun play-fighting with the Paper and the Cheese hatchling, who always pretend that they are deadly afraid of the scaring predator. It's not clear if he himself actually believes that he is a terrifying monster or realizes it's all just a game.
