Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Wrycaide is what most would call a flirt. He shirks most of his chores and is often found looking at his reflection over the pond and posing in order to admire himself and see in what position he looks best. Despite all of his efforts he has yet to find a mate as there are no female drakes but he watches the new drake egg with interest. He is a little jealous of Bryfain, an Ochredrake male, as he is the opposite of Wrycaide yet all of the females seem to like him.
