And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Little Star is a young hatchling who loves every human and dragon she meets. She is often found around the other dragons and it is very rare for her to be alone. Even though she is smaller than most dragons, that does not stop her from joining in any game that the other hatchlings are playing. She will join in without hesitation and is always wanting to play with the other hatchlings. When no one wants to play, she'll often fly around until she finds someone who does. This often reaches the point of her becoming annoying, but even though she can be annoying at times, she is loved by the other dragons and they would never hurt her. She is always happy as long as someone is near her. It doesn't matter if it is a human or a dragon. She enjoys the company.
