Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Bonfire takes everything far too seriously—especially himself. And his tendency to share his 'humble' opinion with others has created quite a few conflicts as he has no idea when it would be wise to actually shut up.

Bonfire lives in the forests closest to Delirium's Academy only a modest flight distance from the Moonsilver Artists' Associations performance dome more or less in the heartlands of his clan's territory. One day, when visiting his daughter Torqua at the academy, he got into a lively discussion with one of her Magi teachers about the appropriate use of music—that is he talked and she was forced to listen. It was a lovely afternoon and the last good day he has had really since then. Because right afterwards his annoying, dimwitted Terra neighbour started singing very silly songs all the time just as if to mock him.
