Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, the sky has been full of very dark clouds.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

What do you get if you put a recently hatched dragon with the power to control weather in the hands of an evil warlord bent on taking over the world

The answer to this, of course, would depend on how cute the hatchling is.

DEATH RAYZ was initially adopted by a rampaging warlord as a means to control the weather to his own advantage. This plan didn't work out quite as well as he had hoped, however. As soon as he hatched he had most everyone, including the warlord, wrapped around his little claw. His master, the warlord, then decided that it would be much more effective to bring a trained adult in instead of attempting to bond and train a fierce dragon out of such a cute hatchling.

He was returned to his hatching mother, with whom he lives with up to this day.
