Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It gives off a glow that lights up the cave.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Kawowo, like all of the tribe's silver dragons, lives on the island of Molehu. It received its name like all silvers; its actions, looks, and personality were inspected by the elders and then summed up with a word in Hawaiian. Its name means "seedling". Frozen as soon as it hatched, Kawowo never even got the chance to grow head fringe. It was as small and scrawny as a baby plant, and the elders figured since it had no other defining characteristic, "seedling" would have to do. After receiving its name, Kawowo took on the job of tending to the more exotic plants in the garden just so it could pretend it got its name from being a spectacular gardener, not simply being a tiny little thing.
