Golden Wyverns are known for their beautiful metallic scales and rumored magical abilities. Living high in the mountains, these dragons do not believe in killing for sport or pleasure. They will hunt only when hungry and defend themselves when provoked, but will avoid killing to the best of their abilities. Golden Wyverns often mingle with other dragons of similar color and take pride in their shimmering hide.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Derillian is a very powerful flyer and he takes great pride in it, even rivaling Tonitrui Ignis, the fastest flyer at the cave.  As the two continued flying competitions between each other the two slowly became friends and valued each other's companionship.  On some evenings the two of them would invite Orion, the cave owner and the one who raised them all, to ride on either of their backs for a calm evening flight.  Orion loves doing this with them, as he often says that he would be the happiest being alive if he could have his own wings and fly.  This gave Derillian an idea, he soon convinced the magi dragon Amber to help Orion, after much training she gave Orion the ability to turn into the same breed as whatever dragon he touched.  Orion loved his new gift and uses it frequently, the main restriction is that he could only be a dragon for up to 24 hours before he has to wait at least 3 days.  Orion almost considers all of them heroes for helping one of his dreams come true.
