Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Heavenly Ebony, named after both her handsome father and sweet mother, is a vain she-dragon that has the potential for kindness, as well as cruel wickedness. She's an assett to the Tribe; hunting and fighting for them and sometimes even helping to care for the young. However, she is rather vile to her younger step-sister, Mikopikri. Their mother's obvious interest is in Heavenly Ebony's father, and she never passes up a chance to tease Mikopikri about her heritage. She has paid dearly for it, though; a deep scar which runs the length of her wing. Mikopikri had given it to her in one of their particularly nasty disputes, but Heavenly Ebony has never ceased tormenting her younger sister.
