Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Tamonia is a very special dragon to her owner. Most dragons make fun of her name, but Tamonia doesn't care. She stands up for herself because her owner gave her that name for a reason. Her owner has always liked the name "Tamonia" but no one would use it because everyone thought that it was a terrible name. Tamonia's owner stood up for herself.
