Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dawnbroken Sky (Skyler for short) is a very vain male dragon. He is constantly grooming himself and is very unobservant to much of anything else. His vanity knows no bounds so much so that he would not risk having one of his precious scales damaged in a fight for a female. Even if he should find a female interested, Skyler's vain as well as materialistic nature would mean he would be unwilling to share a territory with her.

But should he manage to have young; his overly cautious, protective behavior would make Skyler an excellent father as all the eggs and hatchlings would be groomed and watched over intently.
