Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

ARMY Bronze Tinsel, also called "Sergeant Hartman" by most dragons, was the fifteenth Tinsel dragon in GiratinaOF's cave. As his name suggests, he's a teacher for hatchlings and young dragons, who respectfully call him "Sir". Although he's hard on his students, he's a fair dragon. He's an expert in teaching young dragons about hunting and fighting, which makes him  popular in the cave. Most young dragons say he uses lots of swears and roars around all the time, but most adults find this rather amusing. They tell the young it's good to be taught by an experienced, fair fighter. When Sergeant Hartman isn't busy teaching hatchlings (and that happens rarely), he can be found either studying fighting techniques or just reading a book. There's actually hardly anything else known about his private life.
