Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

At the annual Cheese and Wine Festival, the extremely "influenced" mages said that they would use all of the spare cheese to make a monster, and the result of the spells were this big cheese egg. The mages exclaimed: "IT'S SO CHEEESY!" The egg was left on the local dragon daycare's steps. When Enderkid opened the door, expecting to see all the usual common eggs, he saw one made of cheese. He looked around, grabbed it, and then went back inside. Enderkid nurtures a big passion for cheese. He considered eating it but decided it was a good test of willpower.
