Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pure Paradise is Pure Plunder's firstborn. She treats him no better than her mates. He treats him as a slave and makes him do all the work. Unlike his father and Pure Plunder's other mate, Pure Paradise does not accept his fate with a bowed head and blind faith. He has been known to question the way his mother treats him and sometimes is even known to rebel against her will. His rebellion wins him nothing but pain though. His own father and Pure Praise are more then willing to give out any punishment ordered for him by Pure Plunder. The punishments have left him with a broken will and a broken body. He is weakened by the often pain-inducing punishments that are inflicted upon him and just the sheer weariness of being enslaved. His father and mother both feel nothing for him, his mother because she is selfish and his father because he so blindly follows whatever his mother says. He is completely alone and desolate.
