Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ianthe Jutta Zora Merle, also known as Ianthe the Wise One. During nesting season, she watches over the hearth, and keeps the eggs warm.

In her youth, Ianthe Merle was a great beauty. To many she was simply known as, 'Zora.' Along with youthfulness and beauty, Ianthe was extremely foolish and hasty. She hurt a great many dragons, made many mistakes, and as a result lived much of her adult life in misery. It took her well into her elder years to truly realize the meaning of happiness. Now she is known to all as the wisest of the clan, with a brave and kind heart.

Ianthe was however only the second dragon to attach herself to Xexias.
