Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It was born with a full set of wings.

And look! Its wings have grown larger! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Little Bright Wings, or Bright for short, never had a parent-like figure to teach her how to use her wings. Because of this, she never grew into a full dragon. Due to her small size, she tends to stay with the few Pygmies that Milez owns.

Every night, she sits on the highest cliff with Govey, the 'Waking Statue', wishing she could've been able to fly, and grow into a full dragon.
