Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon... except for the tangle of dangerous-looking vines surrounding it...

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Unlike most of his kin, Laddwr has not yet grown to the state of a vine dragon's life where the vines bond to them grow the carnivorous flowers that are feared by so many. So, his vines are reduced to simple weapons and he must eat with his mouth. However, he has not yet grown the aggression of a juvenile dragon either and so he will use his extra limbs to create inventions. A fire dragon wyrmling enjoys burning his creations so he tries to be discrete about their whereabouts. He likes his life as a rejected hatchling but only wishes that he bore wings like all the other dragons he has ever seen. Since a land-bound dragon is like a sky-bound fish.
