And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Puff of Cloud sees it as her mission to reduce the stress of all in the cave. Whenever she can, she does her best to give others the most peaceful daydreams she can muster. Of course sometimes she gets distracted in the process, and the dreams fade to either boring dreams or nightmares. When that happens, those who awaken always forgive her, especially if they wake with a start and scare her. Her family knows she only wishes to help, and it is very typical for those whom she does help to let her take a tidbit of whatever meal they bring home. With the encouragement from her family, she will always keep trying to get better and better at her dream-giving skills.
